BKR member firm ht.digital has appointed Amarjit Singh as Managing Partner, bringing more than 25 years of financial services and digital asset experience to the firm as it continues to develop its specialist assurance capabilities.
Singh joins ht.digital following a long career at EY, where he advised boards and senior leadership teams at major financial institutions. He also chairs the ICAEW Digital Assets Steering Committee, bringing together regulators, standard-setters and industry specialists to consider areas including stablecoin accounting, digital asset oversight and the future of assurance.
His appointment strengthens ht.digital’s leadership at a time when traditional finance and digital asset markets are becoming increasingly interconnected. With a background spanning both financial services and computer science, Singh’s experience complements the firm’s approach of combining audit and assurance expertise with technology developed specifically for digital asset environments.
Commenting on his decision to join the firm, Singh said:
“I’m attracted to HT for two reasons. Firstly, it’s full of brilliant minds who truly know the industry and can bridge the technical and commercial gaps. Secondly, HT’s unique DNA of combining computer science with auditing is at the forefront of defining the future of digital audit and assurance.”
The appointment follows a period of continued expansion for ht.digital, including its recent growth into the US and European markets. Singh will support the firm’s next phase as it works with institutions adopting emerging technologies and navigating the accounting, assurance and regulatory considerations that accompany them.
For BKR, the appointment is another example of the specialist expertise developing across member firms as new technologies reshape established areas of accounting and assurance.
