Effective July 2025, Juan Carlos Alvarado has joined Ladersam (Lima, Peru) to lead the firm’s Tax & Legal Division in the position of Director, bringing his extensive experience and knowledge to the team.
Juan Carlos holds a Law degree and a Master’s degree in Taxation from the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru (PUCP), as well as postgraduate studies in International Taxation at the International Tax Center (ITC) in Leiden (The Netherlands) and at Universidad Austral (Buenos Aires).
He has broad experience in tax services, including tax advisory, audits, representation in proceedings before SUNAT, the Tax Court and the Judiciary, tax planning, and other corporate and business matters.
His career has developed over more than 18 years in the areas of tax advisory and tax procedures at KPMG Peru (Big Four), Grellaud & Luque Abogados, EBS Abogados, and the Tax Court.
Juan Carlos is an active member of the Colegio de Abogados de Lima (CAL) and the Peruvian Institute for Tax Research and Development (IPIDET). He also teaches in the Corporate Taxation Diploma Program at the University of Piura (UDEP).
