BKR International is delighted to announce that ht.digital, previously the digital assets division of London member firm Harris & Trotter LLP, has become a BKR member firm in its own right.
Since its inception, ht.digital has established itself as a pioneer in the digital assets and blockchain space, combining deep audit and advisory expertise with an entrepreneurial approach to emerging technologies. Under the leadership of Nicholas Newman, the firm has expanded its global footprint with offices in London, Malta, and the Cayman Islands.
The Malta office, HT Digital Europe Ltd, is led by Ian and Marco Mercieca, Managing Partners of Tri-Mer Services-a long-standing BKR member firm. In addition to their continuing leadership at Tri-Mer, Ian and Marco are partners in ht.digital, strengthening the collaboration between the two firms and enhancing BKR’s presence in the European digital assets market.
This development marks a natural progression for ht.digital, which continues to maintain a close and collaborative relationship with Harris & Trotter while charting its own path as a specialist firm in the digital assets landscape.
Nicholas Newman, CEO of ht.digital, commented:
“Becoming an independent member of BKR International is an exciting next step for us. The association has always been a vital platform for collaboration and shared expertise, and we are proud to continue contributing to that community as we grow and innovate in the digital assets sector.”
Emma Barry, EMEA Regional Director of BKR International, added:
“ht.digital’s evolution reflects the strength and diversity within BKR-how firms can grow, specialise, and adapt to new market realities while remaining connected to our global community. We are delighted to welcome ht.digital as a member firm in their own right.”
This transition underscores BKR International’s commitment to supporting innovation and collaboration across its global membership, particularly in areas that are shaping the future of financial services.
