ht.digital, the digital assets arm of Harris & Trotter LLP, has announced the opening of a new office in the Cayman Islands — a significant step forward in the firm’s international growth and its leadership in digital assets.
The new Cayman operation will focus on DAO (Decentralised Autonomous Organisation) and Foundation administration, strengthening the firm’s DAO Better initiative launched in 2024. Leading the Cayman office is Sameer Patel, ACA, Acc.Dir., a highly experienced professional with a strong background in foundation operations and previous senior experience with KPMG in the Cayman Islands. Sameer will work directly with regulators, counsel, directors, and founders to help drive the next evolution of digital-native structures.
Since its launch, ht.digital has disrupted the market by addressing key issues around independence, governance, and transparency in the administration of DAOs and foundations. The firm has championed the application of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and advocated for fair and transparent market pricing.
CEO Nicholas Newman commented,
“Our Foundation Operations & Finance team has been tackling systemic challenges in the DAO and foundation sector. With the launch of our Cayman Islands office, we are taking another exciting step toward raising professional standards and delivering real value to the global digital assets community.”
The Cayman Islands office marks ht.digitals’ latest milestone in a year of rapid expansion — welcoming its 18th new team member in 2025.
