ht.digital, the specialist digital arm of Harris & Trotter LLP, has announced the appointment of Ian Taylor as its new Chief Operating Offier, making a bold step forward in the firm’s mission to lead the future of digital asset audit and advisory.
Ian brings over 20 years of experience in capital markets and fintech and is widely regarded as one of the UK’s foremost experts in blockchain and digital assets. He most recently led KPMG’s UK Crypto & Digital Assets practice, and previously served as Executive Director and Board Advisor to CryptoUK, the UK’s digital asset trade association.
“We’re building something special,” said CEO Nicholas Newman. “Ian’s arrival is a game-changer for us and the wider industry. His experience and vision will add rocket fuel to our mission to bring greater professionalism, standards, and opportunity to the digital assets space.”
Commenting on his new role, Ian Taylor said:
“It feels extremely exciting to join Harris & Trotter at this time of rapid international growth for both the organisation and the broader blockchain sector. I made the jump because of the leadership’s vision and the firm’s exclusive focus on the digital asset industry.”
“My goal is to help accelerate global growth, engage with clients, and drive new business, while also working internally to enhance operational efficiencies. 2025 is a pivotal year — crypto is maturing as an asset class, and blockchain is becoming a foundational technology across industries. I’m proud to be part of that journey with HT Digital.”
Taylor’s appointment follows a series of strategic milestones for the firm, including the recent opening of a dedicated office in the Cayman Islands to support its rapidly growing Foundation and DAO operations.
