On Friday, March 16, Nisivoccia LLP employees who wore jeans to work donated money to NAMI (The National Alliance on Mental Illness). NAMI (the National Alliance on Mental Illness) is the nation’s largest grassroots mental health organization dedicated to building better lives for the millions of Americans impacted by mental illness.

Kathi Mantell, CPA, Partner, and Man Lee, CPA, Principal, presented to the New Jersey ASBO on Tuesday, March 6. The presentation given to both groups of school administrators and professionals revolved several new aspects to the audit this year, including testing of additional reported enrollments, reporting post-retirement benefits and new procurement standards for federal grants.
On Friday, March 9, Bud Jones, CPA, Partner, hosted a Certified Municipal Financial Officer Roundtable at the Nisivoccia LLP office. Marcia Geltman, CPA, Partner, kicked off the roundtable with her presentation, “New Jersey’s Property Taxes as Charitable Donations.” There was then a presentation on “Marijuana – Is your community ready for it?” and “FAST – Tips and tricks on surviving the FAST process.” By the end of the event, over 30 CFO’s and professionals attended the event.
