Gross, Mendelsohn & Associates, P.A. (Baltimore) Interns Promoted to Staff Accountants

Gross, Mendelsohn & Associates, P.A. is pleased to announce that three of the firm’s interns have been promoted.

Gross Mendelsohn interns Grace Honsou, Jocelyn Diaz and Kevin Sodee were promoted to full-time staff accountants. Grace, a graduate of McDaniel College, and Kevin, a graduate of Towson University, joined the tax department. Jocelyn, also a graduate of McDaniel College, joined the audit and accounting department.

The goal of Gross Mendelsohn’s intern program is to develop and promote staff internally at the very beginning of their careers.

“We have found that former interns make the best employees,” said Linda Pietras, the firm’s human resources director. “Interns are generally hired during our busiest season – tax season. We feel that this is the time where interns gain the most meaningful experience.”

Based on their performance as interns, graduating seniors are often offered fulltime employment. Interns who still need to finish their degree are often asked to extend their internship during the summer or the next tax season.

Ten of Gross Mendelsohn’s current employees began as interns at the firm.
