Blick Rothenberg (London) Releases 2017 Autumn Budget Publications

The Autumn Budget 2017 was presented to Parliament by the Chancellor of the Exchequer on Wednesday, 22 November, 2017.

The Chancellor was not in a position to make significant tax changes, as he seeks to ensure that the country, "Is prepared for every possible outcome," while Brexit negotiations continue. There was the much anticipated reduction in SDLT aimed at first time buyers, but otherwise the Budget was lacking in giveaways and targeted at reducing tax evasion and avoidance.
